Abstract

For many centuries, the European city developed towards territorial concentration. The city accumulated human resources, multiplied the population, while becoming not only a single architectural, but also a single biological body. Today, the global viral pandemic is testing the city for the sustainability of the very idea of urbanization. Its challenges expose the problems of culture and traditions of social coexistence, subjectivity and self-consciousness of the urban community in the most dramatic way.
