Irkutsk – with the unique wooden quarters of its historical center. But it is on the general level of ideology. However, when it comes to a certain plot of a certain owner, it is not that simple. How to arrange heritage renovation, repairs and restoration so as to ensure the highest authenticity? To revitalize the woodcarving school, to restore mining of such traditional materials as sandstone and natural stone, to renew manufacturing of colours for historical quarters based on natural colours of Priangarie… The above-mentioned issues, as well as the issue of how to reflect cultural codes in the new architecture of Irkutsk quarters, are discussed at the regular Discussion Club meeting held at the Irkutsk House of Architects.
