Abstract

The article examines the specifics of architectural creativity. It shows the mechanisms of interaction between the architectural and spatial environment and the human factor, as well as the psychological features of the architect’s activity. The article highlights the importance of the figurative component in the system of factors influencing the architectural design process. The principles of national and regional understanding of form in architecture are studied at two levels: the ideological and value foundations of the cultural tradition of the people are determined, and the formal and aesthetic features of regional and national architectural thinking are analyzed. It is concluded that the ability of an architect to create not just buildings, but living harmonious spaces that influence the perception of the world is the peculiarity of architectural thinking.
