Abstract

The more creative the activity is, the greater is the role of personality. For the processes that proceed according to proven schemes, personality is unimportant. But if the ways of solving problems have to be found in the course of this very solution, the result depends entirely on the properties of the artist’s personality.

The theme of PERSONALITY sounded beautifully at the annual Festival in Krasnoyarsk ZVS-24: at the Round Table, at the new Astafiev Centre in Ovsyanka, at the venues where films dedicated to architects Vladimir Sokolovsky and Arag Demirkhanov were shown, at the unveiling of the memorial plaque in honor of architect Vitaly Orekhov... PROJECT BAIKAL contributes to the conversation about personalities and expands its geography, including St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Yerevan.

In this section we have placed publications about several bright personalities of the past and present. The section opens with Andrey Bokov’s speech on Vladimir Pavlov’s architecture as a phenomenon of world culture, which was delivered at the round table initiated by RANEPA.

This section also includes the first detailed publication about Vladimir Kolpikov and his Irkutsk period.

Together with Alexander Khudin’s caricatures, PROJECT BAIKAL returns to its favourite collection - Conferyushki. Vyacheslav Glazychev invented this word for the random sketches that hands unconsciously draw during boring conferences. But even sketches and rough drawings can say a lot about a creative person.
