The authors identify its main distinguishing features and the features of functional zoning. The coliving infrastructure includes residential, public and business zones. The article gives a brief historical overview of the formation of residential buildings with an additional function. It analyzes the continuity of the ideology of architecture of coliving, communal house and multifunctional residential complex, as well as reveals the coliving typology and infrastructure.
