project baikal now included in Scopus

Project Baikal has been evaluated for inclusion in Scopus by the Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB). The review of this title is now complete and the CSAB has advised that the title will be accepted for inclusion in Scopus.

Significant improvements have been made to this journal since the last application to SCOPUS. It has become much more international in character and in aspiration, articles are being cited, although citations remain low, and material is being published that will interest scholars beyond the local area and field. The journal does need to continue this trend, and to ensure that articles follow current standards in being fully supplied with detailed bibliographies and source data: at present some articles appear somewhat thin by contrast with others. This aside, the editorial policy and homepage impress, and enough has been done to merit inclusion in SCOPUS.
