The main stages of formation of individual residential development areas (mansions) in Dalian are considered and characterized. The author reveals the features of placement, planning and architectural and artistic organization of buildings of this type. The author also notes the importance of preserved historical and cultural heritage sites in the growth of modern development of the city.
