It has had an eventful history. There are a lot of architectural monuments in the city, but what was lost in the 20th century is irreparable, despite the reconstruction of several architectural masterpieces. The city still maintains its identity. It is of current importance to create “historico-cultural islands”, which ensure preservation of the structural integrity of streets, squares and the historical part of the city in general.
