Статья посвящена изучению исторической застройки и опыта использования объектов культурного наследия на территории Китая, имеющих отношение к строительству Китайско-Восточной железной дороги на рубеже XIX–XX веков. Рассматривается историческая застройка (преимущественно первой половины XX века) города Бокету, известного среди российских эмигрантов как станция Бухэду. Приводятся ранее не публиковавшиеся архивные чертежи планов станции. Анализируются современное использование исторических зданий и их значение в свете развития городской среды.
