Аннотация

Для средневековой архитектуры плоские каменные потолки не были типичными. Тем не менее исключительное развитие такие потолки имели в армянской архитектуре с XI по XIII век. Исполнялись они в разной технике кладки и с декором, напоминающим звездное небо. Впервые приведен обзор плоских потолков в хронологическом развитии, исследована их роль в композиции зданий. Анализ нацелен на выявление причины их широкого применения в мемориальных постройках. Исходные образцы были созданы в Ани еще в XI веке, и это направление развивалось в армянской столице и монастырских постройках и в дальнейшем.
