Аннотация

В статье рассматривается сохранившийся комплекс английских графических работ, фиксирующих городские панорамы и отдельные постройки в азиатской части Российской империи. В рассматриваемое время в изобразительном искусстве Англии был проявлен интерес к изображению в этом весьма обширном регионе традиционных жилищ коренных народов, а также к градостроительной и архитектурной деятельности русских переселенцев. Основная часть графического наследия воспроизведена в технике гравюры и представляет собой образцы книжной графики. Сравнительно небольшая ее часть была создана в качестве натурных рисунков во время проведения английских исследовательских экспедиций.
